This week at Weekender

It seems to be the time of year when thoughts turn to careers, with many wondering what a next step should be. With many of Tokyo's English-language publications looking at recruitment companies, we thought we'd look at the actual industries in which our local recruiters work, and ask these career advisors to share their expert knowledge of recent and future employment trends. Check out our double-page feature on pages six and seven.

Staying with the Careers' theme, our Dining section not only features two great restaurants but also interviews with said restaurants' owners to see how they decided to make the food industry their chosen careers. One of the restaurants featured is a favorite of both Marie and I and you'll probably find one of us in there most nights(!)—check out the fantastic curries served at Priya in Hiroo high street.

We're looking at the lucrative industry of sports management, and finding out what it's really like to work with professional athletes—it sounds a lot more challenging than you'd think! If you're also facing challenges in your company, then check out the article in our Travel section about team-building retreats near Tokyo.

Plus there are our usual columns and movie reviews. And we're adding even more pages and a brand new section in our next issue, out May 2. Enjoy!
